Virtual Advising Drop-in Hours - For New Incoming Students - Summer 2024

Engineering Advising will offer weekly advising Drop-in Hours via Zoom (link coming soon) throughout the summer to give new incoming students a chance to meet us and ask questions each week as we release more information to you via email and the modules in your Advising Portal. Drop-in Hours are short, one-on-one conversations with an Advisor and are intended for students with quick questions.  Drop-in Hours will begin June 4 and will run multiple times a week during the summer with expanded offerings as needed.

Virtual Advising Drop-in Hours - For Current Students - Spring 2024

Advising drop-ins are all held virtually and are for quick, 10-15-minute questions.  They are first-come, first-served.  You may have to wait to speak with an advisor if another student is ahead of you.  If that’s the case, please sit tight in the Zoom Waiting Room – an advisor will let you in from the Waiting Room as soon as they are available.

Tuesdays (starting January 23 and ending May 14), 2:30pm-4pm

Wednesdays (starting January 24 and ending May 15), 9am-10:30am

Advising Appointments for New Incoming Students - Summer 2024

While many incoming student questions can be answered via Drop-in hours, Engineering Advising also offers 30-minute individual appointments throughout the summer.  If you have several questions pertaining to the current week's email topics, you are welcome to book an appointment with an advisor here.

Advising Appointments for Returning Students - Summer 2024

Please Note: The Advising team works remotely on Thursdays and Fridays in the summer and therefore the physical office suite is closed those days. Advising appointments made for Thursdays and Fridays will be virtual.  You can make a 30-minute (in-person or virtual) appointment with your Engineering Advising professional academic advisor online through Chatter.  We do not make same-day appointments. Calendars tend to fill up quickly so plan in advance and come prepared with questions to your appointment.  Please Note: the calendars will only show availability for the next three weeks. If you don't see availability, please check back the next week. If your matter is urgent, please email adv_engineering@cornell.edu or call us at 607-255-7414.

When scheduling an appointment through Chatter, be sure to find the Engineering Advising tab listed at the top or in the "More" tab drop-down. Note that other offices also use Chatter and have their own appointment booking pages.

Study Abroad Inquiries

You can make a 30-minute (in-person or virtual) appointment with our study abroad advisor online through Chatter by then selecting the Study Abroad service. You can also send general questions and inquiries regarding study abroad to coe_studyabroad@cornell.edu.
