Students win NASA challenge with 3D-printer smart sensor

This article was updated 10/28/21 to include the launch of the crowdfunding campaign. A team of Cornell students has won a grant through NASA’s University Student Research Challenge for a proposed sensor that can help 3D printers build better, more reliable products. To complete the challenge, the team is now crowdfunding a cost-share required by NASA. The challenge seeks new aeronautics concepts that are relevant to NASA Aeronautics Mission Research Directorate.
