Scheinberg named INFORMS Fellow

INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has officially named 12 outstanding members as Fellows, including ORIE's Katya Scheinberg. The 2022 INFORMS Fellows will be inducted during the INFORMS Annual Meeting, Oct. 16-19, which will be held in Indianapolis. Scheinberg joined the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering faculty in July 2019, after serving as the Harvey E. Two doctoral students receive Ford Fellowships

Cornell doctoral student Dory Peters, a student in the lab of Nikolaos Bouklas, has been selected to receive a 2022 Ford Foundation Fellowship. Peters’ proposed area of research is the development of new computational techniques that will accelerate computations for highly deformable structures, soft robotics to human-computer interaction, and solid and fluid interactions in the subsurface environment. Cornell awarded $15M to lead NSF I-Corps Hub

Cornell has been awarded a $15 million, five-year grant from the National Science Foundation to lead a newly established Innovation Corps Hub that will support science and technology entrepreneurship in rural regions. Read more
