Information on Zoom Rooms
For Spring 2021, Zoom rooms should be available in all classrooms where classes are dual mode remote + in-person. The Zoom rooms are being deployed to classrooms; a demo version is currently available in Phillips 101 by appointment, by emailing coecis-help@cornell.edu. Some of the features of the Zoom rooms include:
- a gallery view of the remote students on a separate screen
- a camera trained on the board
- a Wacom tablet for writing content directly
- a second camera which can be focused on the faculty or the students
- does not have sound (continue using room sound as before)
- ability to save and email content written on the Wacom tablet to students in 10 page chunks
Email coecis-help@cornell.edu for training on the Zoom room technology as the setup depends on the technology you are using.
